There's really only one or two ways to answer this: a) conduct a
formal exposure test with the two cameras; or b) have the shutter
speed timings checked.

I would think that's possible. Did you check their voltage, or
try new ones?

Tricky question. You will almost certainly notice the difference when
looking at the two separate chips. IMO, there is a high probability
that you won't be bothered by the exposure difference. In fact, you
may find that the exposure differenc allows you to capture a little
more detail in both the highlights and the shadows in high contrast
scenes. (I'd be interested in hearing other opinions on this theory.)
