P3D Polarized 3-D

I had mentioned, in an earlier e-mail, wondering why the polarized 3-D
method for movies (i.e., using glasses with transparent, polarized, lenses)
had never really caught on that well at movie houses.  Someone replied that
it had and they mentioned two different movie-house locations in the U.S. 
where you can see movies using that technique.

I guess I should have been more specific in my statement.  I meant, why
hadn't this method caught on with many movie theaters across the U.S.-not
just two (or three) places.

Any guesses anyone?
