P3D 3D movies for the masses...

We've all seen attempts to show 3D movies to the public. We've seen the
comments on the P3D.
"3rd rock from the sun", ABC 3D week, "Hondo", "Gorilla at large" ( all
shown on television), then we have "Parasite", "Comin' at ya", "Jaws
3D", "Friday the 13th, part 3" (shown in theaters) and numerous others.

(for a list of films that have been in 3D and voting results, check out

It seems to me, for the public to finally accept 3D, at least in
theaters, this must happen:

To be acceptable in theaters:
As far as I'm concerned, there have been very few 'good' films produced
in 3D. Can someone sit through a film that was originally created in 3D
and watch it in 2D? I've never seen "Dial M for Murder" in 3D or 2D, so
I can't comment, but heard it is good either way. There aren't many 3D
films I can say that about. (on the Internet Movie Database, voting
results for "Dial M...", 561 votes and received a 7.8/10). "It came
from outer space" and "Creature..." are films I could watch in 2D
without disappointment.
(check out at the voting results for other 3D movies on the Internet
Movie Database)

It's like watching a movie without surround sound, a film should be able
to hold up on it's own, not just with the surround sound. Surround adds
to the feeling of 'being there'.3D should do the same. I should be able
to watch a film in 2D and not know it was created for 3D. To often,

If a feature film were done by Spielberg, Lucas, or Cameron and
released in theaters in 2D, (but actually filmed in 3D) then filmgoers
wouldn't have a preconceived notion of the 3D film. If the film is a
success, then maybe a year later, rerelease it in 3D, it's original
form.

I think it would draw a larger crowd in 3D, and being a success the
first time would assure movie theaters for success of it's 2nd run.
