| If a feature film were done by Spielberg, Lucas, or Cameron and
|released in theaters in 2D, (but actually filmed in 3D) then filmgoers
|wouldn't have a preconceived notion of the 3D film.  If the film is a
|success, then maybe a year later, rerelease it in 3D, it's original
|form.

Well, of course there was Jaws 3D (which I never saw - I thought the
whole series was overrated - but I don't like "horror" films much). I'm
pretty sure that it was not directed by Lucas (Spielberg?) - but I always
have to smile at that due to the scene in "Back to the Future" part II
where Marty encounters a (Holographic?) shark advertisment and observes
the shark still looks like a fake :-) "Twister" would have been
sensational in 3D though...
