researcher/author John Belton (Author of Widescreen Cinema) noted
a March 5th 1953 letter from from Fox's Darryl Zanuck to Jack Warner:
"I am looking each night at the flat rushes, 3-D polaroid rushes
and finally the Cinemascope on The Robe"

That's the one. To me it says clearly that he was watching the rushes from
several films -- flat films, 3D films and also the Cinemascope rushes from
"The Robe." But like trying to put the toothpaste back in the tube, there
will no longer be any way to convince the eager ones that he was not
looking at flat, 3D and Cinemascope rushes, all of "The Robe".
