P3D The answer to Metering

I have decided to shoot holiday lighting "by committee" using an
entourage of associates and taking the mean average of all data
collected to determine exposure. For a scene 200 yards away (lets say
across a river and including the water, a 50 ft tree, and a cluster of
decorated buildings with various lighting schemes) I would send one
person to each building with a meter and cell phone, a snorkler or
boater on the water to meter the reflections,
and I would meter the foreground to include the rivers edge and some
foliage. All elements of the photo are important to me. Well, the calls
are in, the data collected, the computations completed and the exposure
decision has been
successfully determined.....BRACKET.
