Yes, it's a little harsh.  I'll agree that a couple of initial posts
were more of a sales pitch than an information exchange, however, the
particular post quoted above was in response to a very normal photo-3d
query by emanon and a very good response by John.  

I say cut the guy some slack and let him learn there's more to 3D than
his "invention".  Maybe someday he'll even let us review his patent
information or provide us the patent number so it can be looked up.

However, so long as he's not continuing on with the "hard sell", he's
just another photo-3d poster.
