P3D More Nimslo questions (and a few answers)

Thanks to all who have answered my slide film
in Nimslo question.
New questions:
1) does anyone know what the minimum aperture
used by the Nimslo is? When I aim the camera
at a 100 W light bulb the opening appears to
be a diamond (due to the shutter blades) of
about 1 mm high by 1/2 mm wide. With a 30 mm
lens this would make it somewhere between
f32 and f64, though the latter is a bit hard
to believe.
2) can you fire high trigger voltage flashes
with the Nimslo? IE is it triggered just with
a mechanical switch or is it done electronically?
Answers:
1) I had asked if you could use a superbright
LED to get the camera to stop down. The answer
is yes (using a Radio Shack superbright LED
I bought a few years ago).
2) This was mentioned on the list a few months
ago, but I accidentally "discovered" that it
works on my camera. If you connect the extra
contact on the flash shoe to the shoe itself
you get Bulb mode. The shutter will stay open
until you release the shutter button or
break the connection to the extra contact.
Thanks - Greg E.
