[Helium scarcity]

  Helium comes out of the ground with natural
gas (a by-product of uranium breakdown underground
AFAIK). If there was no market for it the natural gas
producers would just release it, since it's
harmless.

  They certainly wouldn't store it in big tanks
for the future (when it'll be valuable) unless
there was some guarantee (or cash up front).

  Since helium is plentiful enough that
restaraunts give it away for free (in a
rubber container) I wouldn't worry about
it.
