As far as I know, Peck patented the multiple column stereogram, but it did
not involve computer-generated "random-dots". NE Thing (MAGIC EYE) paid
Peck for his patent to avoid litigation during their skyrocket period, but
consequently were awarded a separate patent for a particular computer
generation process.
