P3D Easy question about flash & Realist

OK, I know this is an easy one, but I'm not quite sure what my options
are...  I have a Pentax Asahi AF200S electronic flash with a sensor in the
front.  I bought the hotshoe adapter for my Realist from Reel-3d (I was
told it allows you to use modern electronic flashes with the camera), BUT,
the flash doesn't seem to have a pc connection (even though I also picked
up a pc cable).  So, my question is...  how can I get my flash to work
with my Realist using a low-cost option (and/or the hotshoe adapter)??
