Yes, you do need Ron's repair!!!  :-)  Hope you got some warranty...

My Ilex failed while in Greece, ruining half the pictures in 20 or so
rolls.  I sent it to Zak to change the transport mechanism to the "newer"
style.  A few months and $120 later, my Ilex is in fine shape.
