P3D NU 2 the List
After being a subscriber and a reader for two days I thought I'd
introduce myself. That way you'll get an idea of who I am and
where I'm coming from if I throw my two cents once in a while.
No I'm not one of those important people refered to lately.
No problem. Since 1979 I've been the Manager of Photo Services
at SUNY College at Brockport near Rochester, NY. Always thought
view masters were neat since I was a little kid. Been shooting with
my Realists for about six or so years. Shoot anything from scenics
to studio, fossils to dancers. Give 3D projected shows to clubs and
organizations throughout Western NYS and Southern Ontario.
I'm a member of NSA. Also the president of the University
Photographers' Association of America. Enough of that.
The only comment or reply I'd like to make right now is in regards to
the person who did his first 3D show and wasn't able to convert any of
the 2Ders. Don't worry about it. I'm sure you got praise rather than tomatoes.
I'm thankful that people enjoy my photography or my art or my music...
as I'm also a blues musician. First I shoot for myself. Then I hope there
are others who will appreciate and enjoy the show. As a performer I love
the applause and positive comments. I look forward to them asking me back.
That is what satisfies me. Although I enjoy teaching photography I don't
regard this as a religion that I hawk door to door. I'm not out to convert.
If more pick up the practice that's great and I certainly encourage it. If it's
nothing more than a rare treat that night for the 2Ders that'll make me happy
also. I love 2D photography..heck, they even pay me to do it. But 3D is a love
for me with no strings attached.
Hey, I enjoy football....but up in the stands and not getting killed on the field.
Thank God for spectators as well as participants.
Now we return to your regularly scheduled programing.
