  I've seen one good coment about it on the
internet somewhere (photo.net I think) so
it may be a good candidate.

  On the other hand, Edmund claims great things
for their Hastings magnifiers and John B and
Joel's ORT program both say that they are very
poor (at least not wide FOV as they claim.)

  So YMMV.

  Me, I'm presently playing with the double
achromat lenses like Alan Lewis has ( 36 mm
dia by 50 mm effective FL when paired, $8 ea
x 4 = $32  from Surplus Shack). Much cheaper
and they work nice when I wear my glasses
and still allow me to see an entire 7 perf
slide. Some pincushion, so Larry wouldn't
like them :)
