P3D Realist dupes

I, too, experienced problems finding someone who could handle stereo slide
dupes. Here's a suggestion: bring your uncut strip to a local processor
and show them how to do it. I found a local shop (I live in Kansas City),
who on the phone said, "No," but after examination, discovered he could
easily dupe full strips.

I get a little slop on each side, but that's no problem. Since the images
are slimmer than 35mm, he decided to charge me the price of a single dupe
for a pair, which I think is very reasonable, especially when I dupe an
entire roll. He can do single dupes from the strip. It's a little
confusing, but I showed him how to find the pairs. He can't do cut slides,
because his holder has pins on the outer edge of a 35mm frame. I'm hoping
he can find another holder.

I find that keeping the original roll uncut has its advantages. I give away
and sell more slides, and can keep making dupes of great shots. It just
takes some patience and a processor who's willing to listen and learn
something new.
