As an APEC charter member, I thought I'd chime in about how much time
it takes to put together 30 identical APEC stereo views. Not that long.

First, you can use quick, easy and handsome Q-Vu mounts. People tell
me that if you're making your prints from Realist slides, the prints you
get back from Grand Photo come sized, trimmed and stereo-window adjusted,
ready to stick in Q-Vu mounts. Total time to mount 30 views: about an
hour?

Second, once you've figured out the tricks and especially if you have
the right tools and set up an assembly line, making one stereo card from
scratch doesn't take more than a few minutes. I routinely get back 24
count sets of twin-rig stereo prints of my kids, and I routinely turn
those stacks of raw prints into 15 to 20 stereographs that are as finely
put together as I know how to make them, in an evening -- I'd guess in 2
or 3 hours.

Of course it is true that if you're new to the sport, or if you don't
use the right tools (the biggest time saver is a good matte cutter), it
will take longer.
