Although synched won out over synced, I know from personal experience
that we say (spell) sync pulse.  So back to Yahoo where I find
sync pulse 625 times
synch pulse only 37 times. So it depends on context. I suppose that the
word synced looks too much like it should be pronounced since-d insted
of sink-d.
