P3D 3D Showcase - New, Improved!

Dear friends on P3D:
I would like to announce the completion of the beta test phase of the 3D
Showcase (www.starosta.com/3dshowcase). Looking over the past six weeks,
or so, I've had quite a bit of positive and constructive criticism from
this group, and for this I am very thankful. I hope those of you, who may
recognize that I have not adopted your ideas, will forgive me for holding
fast to my opinions. Others will recognize changes based on their
recommendations. But thanks go out to all.
The most significant change is the addition of anaglyph images. Supported
by your many suggestions, I recognized that this was the most important
addition before "going public." I see it as the easiest to use and most
recognized stereo format for the general public. My thanks go out to
Harolddd Baize for his advice on how best to prepare anaglyphs.
Because of time constraints, I've not made every stereo pair into an
anaglyph, and they do remain a "secondary" format, with the stereo pairs
still loading as the default format on each page. However, I do have at
least one new anaglyph link in each showcase, more on those showcases that
my site statistics have shown to be popular (for example, the nudes). I
will continue to add anaglyphs, as time permits, and any new material added
in future will always get an anaglyph version.
A propos nudes: I've added a third nude page (/inude3.html). The
popularity of the nude photography showcase is not surprising to me - but
it is odd how few of you have commented on it, especially "publicly" on
P3D. You fellas and gals aren't _shy_ about discussing nude stereography,
are you?
I have produced one additional piece of stereo photography/art in the last
six weeks, and I hope very much that everyone will have a look at it. It
is my first attempt to integrate my stereo photography with my stereo
computer illustration. This image is in the computer graphics showcase, of
course: /ihex.html. I solicit your comments on the success of this
integration, especially with regard to the matching of the depth scales of
the photograph and illustration.
The index page has also received a substantial overhaul, with the addition
of two stereo pairs and one anaglyph link.
To recap this lengthy post: 1) new anaglyphs throughout the site. 2) New
stereographs on /index.html, /ihex.html, and /inude3.html.
Respectfully submitted,
Boris Starosta
