Dear Lawrence: Your letter of the 3rd has been passed to me. Thank you
for your interest in our products and comment on the Netherlands
congress last year. The screen does indeed have a coating on it. It is
actually a sprayed process with, as you can imagine some very tight
controls. We use a similar process for our 2D Perlux surfaces with a
different coating composition. I have arranged for a small sample of our
Spectral 2000 material to be sent to you along with a set of our screen
literature. When you receive this please feel free to contact us and
we will assist further. Within that information you will see a product
we call Easi-Rect this is a light weight aluminium fold-away screen
frame supplied in a carry case, there are various surface options that
can then be fitted with press studs to the frame. Spectral is one of
those options. While the frame folds into a case the surfaces needs to
be rolled into a tube each time it is
transported, tube length will be a little longer than the screen
height. As an indication of price for our nearest standard sizes :
12' x 9' overall system would cost #1,358.00 (pounds sterling) 8' x 6'
overall system would cost #925.00 (pounds sterling) All prices are ex
works, packing will be additional. We do now have an operation in the
States, located in Virginia it currently manufactures Matt White
surfaces only. All gain and 3D screens are produced in the UK. Your
comments on the possible US market are most interesting and one we
should clearly develop. Perhaps we could talk after you have our
brochures. Thanks for taking the time to write to us, your letter last
year must have
been lost in the post. Please feel free to contact me at any time.
Regards. Ian Sim
