P3D Consumer Electronic Show report... AND MORE!

Anent the discussion of integrams...
I too know the term from holography, as I saw many of the cylindrical head
studies (and a few full-body ones too) at the now-defunct Museum of Holography
in New York City.
However, at the Consumer Electronic Show last week, I saw a display at the QD
Technology booth that may bear on this question. The 3D image in question,
measuring about 6"x8", was mounted in a light box, and while the 3D didn't
show much depth, it was the smoothest 3D I've ever seen in what I assumed was
lenticular format. There were NO "lens" lines that one always sees with
lenticulars, and the guy running the booth, Brad (?) Nelson, denied that the
photo was lenticular; said it was some other process.
But much as I was impressed by the lent, I was even more impressed by his big-
screen TV which was displaying a real-time 3D video image viewable with simple
polarized glasses - not an LCD shutter unit in sight. He was using one of the
old Toshiba 3D cameras and handing glasses to passersby so they could see
themselves in 3D. I interviewed the guy briefly, and when I type it up
sometime later this week, I'll make it available to anyone who wants it. I
will also be writing a piece on the technology (as fars as I can make head or
tail of it) for Adult Video News - after all, the guy was selling it in the
adult section. For those who can't wait, QD Technology is located at 536 N.
Santa Cruz Blvd., #201, Los Gatos, CA 95030; phone (408) 354-0650.
I also heard a report on the TV news, though I didn't get a chance to check
this out in person, of a television with a 360 degree screen, where no matter
where you sat in relationship to the screen, you would see a perfectly normal
picture. That's something I'd like to check out. Any info, anybody?
And finally, I was very impressed by some of the signage along The Strip,
particular the giant screens at Circus-Circus and the Sahara. They are
apparently giant television screens, using individual bulbs for the three
primary colors, and the moving 3D graphics which they displayed were
wonderful. For instance, a logo would flash on in "the distance," "move"
forward, rotating as it went, then disappear off the screen edge. You've got
to see it!
As for myself, I spent most of the convention distributing (as usual) 3D slide
pairs to the porn stars that are in them (a TV news report on last year's show
actually had a clip of one of the actresses holding one of my pairs up to the
light to look at it - I was proud), plus took some shots of porn stars
stripping at a local club. I am also now in business: Mark Kernes, The 3D Guy
(tm). I do slide pairs for porn stars to sell through their fan clubs. Got two
"under contract" already, with about 40 views on one (Christi Lake), 20 on the
other (Summer Knight); more soon. E-mail me for more info.
And in other news:
This Friday and Saturday nights at midnight, at the Laemmle Sunset 5 theater
on Sunset Blvd. & Crescent Hgts. in Los Angeles, a "classic" 3D porn film
(hardcore) will be shown for the first time in at least 20 years. The title
escapes me at the moment, but you can check out Laemmle's website for it at
<www.laemmle.com>. One of the actors, William Margold, will be on hand to
answer questions and sign autographs. The flick also stars John Holmes and
Annette Haven.
