P3D RE:SYNCHRONISATION
Friends,
The purpose of language is to be understood. Does it really matter whether you contract the above as Sync., or Synch? Only to purist. The french have a special institution to maintain the 'purity' of the gallic tongue......King Canute tried to command the tide to roll back...neither can, or will, make much impression. Fortunately language is above all that and goes on developing in its own sweet way.
Who cares if it's spelt synch, sync (or maybe cinc., or cynch!). The acid test is: "Do you understand the meaning?" Oh yes, and does it sound pleasant to the ear?
