P3D Re: Please offer you opinions on viewer optics...
Undisclosed Lefty (hope you like your Realist! ;-)) asks us to
offer opinions on viewer optics.
Opinions are inexpensive and we have plenty of those left...
I guess the politically correct approach nowdays is to say that
all viewers are the same... I will not take the risk to be called
a "Realist viewer fanatic" so let me just say that both the red
button and Kodaslide II have many-many satisfied owners.

I suspect that the problem was alignment. It is common in this
viewer to find the lenses misaligned because they are supported
by a rather thin piece of metal at the top. Misalignment of
viewing lenses is sometims hard to pin point and you get the
general feeling of nausia or the reaction "something is screwy
about these lenses". The problem can be easily corrected by
bending the metal until the lenses are aligned.

I will urge you to keep your KII if you are pleased with it.
As you noticed it has clear and large lenses that perform well.
There are more to a viewer than lenses. There is the general
feel, illumination, etc.
