Re: Gary Schacker wonders if presence of DOF scale and double-exposure
prevention knob means his newly acquired Ilex Paragon Realist is a
late model Realist.  I am told David White Co. offered to retrofit
early Realists with these features.  Some owners took them up on it,
others did not.  Check the film advance mechanism (which, however,
could have been updated by Zak if the original failed) and serial
number for more clues as to the vintage of this unit.  Or remove
the lens board and look for a dated sticker.
