P3D RE: Web site update comments...

Boris lamented that not many people have commented about his most recent
web site updates...

I thought I would insert my 2 cents worth here. I think (as has already
been mentioned here) that the amount of response generated the first
time the site was announced was unusually large. this may have led to
expectations of the same response every time. 

I have found that with the growth on my 3D site (Now over 315 individual
pages!) I often do not hear fom the users that visit. In the last 32
months I have received almost 30,000 individual IP visits, and only
received about 50 e-mails specifically from or about the site. 

I recently mentioned to this group that I had fininshed a massive update
to the 3D book list - not a peep back fom anyone.

I also mentioned that I had finished a massive update to the APEC III
section of the site - this time, hardly a peep from anyone. (BTW - This
section has been updated again thatnks to the help of Carole and Jim,
both APEC III members, to include the text from the backs of each of the
exchanged views. I believe, their hard work makes the whole viewing
experience much better. Have a look and see if you don't agree!)

I am content to know that people are enjoying the availability of so
much information, and will continue to add to it, but not because I
expect to hear from anyone. I just does not happen very much! I do
treasure a few wonderful thank you notes that I have received from time
to time, but if the value of the site were determined by them, I would
have quit a long time ago.
