Hyponar asked about an over/under lorgnette.

I remember an over/under lorgnette-type viewer from about 20 years
ago. I think is was from Germany and was called the Nesh viewer.

This device was around long before the "ViewMagic" viewer was introduced.

It was two prisms side-by-side. The user had to find the proper
distance from which to view the over/under mounted stereo pairs.
Obviously, smaller/closer pairs required a closer viewing distance than
larger pairs.

Some photography student at the Ohio State University presented his
stereo photo exhibit using this viewer (sometime in the late '70's).
He put down a line of tape on the gallery floor to help the visitors
find the proper viewing distance.

Does any one know if these Nesh viewers are still available anywhere?

Anybody else remember seeing the gadget? I'm sure I've got one buried
in my pile of stereo stuff somewhere.
