P3D Re: Stereo NE formal?

Hmmmm... I don't see any support on this from anywhere... Well, OK.
Let me state my last points and I am out of here...

Let's take a look at the Stereo Club of Southern California.
They have over 100 members, regular meetings, programs,
competitions, publish a wonderful newsletter, sponsor a PSA salon,
sponsored the world's first 3D movie/video competition (and now are going
for the second), and much more....

Many of these activities benefit the stereo community in general, not just
their small local area. And yet, there is no crazy 3D fanatic behind it,
but a large number of steady good workers like David Starkman, Susan
Pinsky, Ray Zone, Mich Walker, Oliver Dean, Lawrence Kaufman, Marvin Jones,
Charles Piper, just to mention a few names.

This is your own personal opinion. I gave mine earlier:

What happens if we both belong to the same "club"? Who is going to decide
if we are going to have competitions or not? Right now, in your case, it
is the small group of organizers. In a formal club, the membership decides
and expresses opinions by voting.

Exactly! You used the magic word "members" again. An organized club
has members. Your get-together does not have members.

>If you want to help make a club work, you need motivation,
>not a title.

There is more to an organized club activity than "titles"... There is
also history and the feeling that you are a part of a greater effort.
