  I use the Olympus dual release that is made
for their bellows system. It is adjustable to
control which pin comes out first. B&H sells
it for under $40.

  It is fairly short and so you are limited
to a maximum camera spacing of around a foot.

  For larger spacing I use two single releases
and fire one with each hand. I have had great
sucess with this method shooting fireworks
with 8' separations and minimal retinal rivalry.
The trick is to push both buttons simultaneously and
quickly and release them both simultaneously and
quickly.
