P3D Revere 33

I suspect questions similar to the following have been hashed over here at
length in the past. Still, I've spent some time at the P-3D archive, and
still come away somewhat uncertain. If you've got comments or suggestions,
I'd appreciate a quick direct reply.

I've been offered a Revere 33 w/case, original box and instruction manual.
Although it shows some signs of use (and the manual is tattered and
dog-eared), the set-up appears complete and functional (maybe an 8 or 8+,
overall). But the seller has run no film through the camera and, thus, is
unwilling make any representations beyond "as is."

The sense I get from previous posts to P-3D is that the Revere is a
desirable camera. What I don't know is what it would cost to have the
camera inspected, cleaned and tuned up, so I get a sense of how to bargain
with the seller. Who works on Reveres? And the bottom line: if I can get
the camera for $200 - 225, is it worth taking the risk?

Sorry if this is all re-hash.

Mark
