Peter: in addition to this Realist "original equipment" shade and filter
holder that fits outside the lens barrel, you have the option of a pair
of Kodak manufacture (or other brands) of series V adaptors that fit
over the inner part of the lens, like the small filters that Dr T
referred to, that then have the same retaining ring system for the
unthreaded series V filters. Still not easy to find, but you might be
able to find them at a camera show. The ones I have I got from Ron
Zakowski and they say "Kodak Series V Adaptor ring 13/16 in. 205 mm".
Another type of filter that came in Series V size are closeup lenses,
both regular "portrait" lenses in 1+, 2+, and 3+, as well as wedge or
prismatic closeup lenses. I don't recall that there is much (if
anything) about these in the Realist Manual, but Tyding's Stereo Realist
Guide has a nice section on closeups. -Linda
