Eric  - are you sure you can't glue it? I once broke off the tabs which
lock the back of a Nishika, which are under considerable pressure when
they are engaged, and was successful in gluing them back (boy, was I
surprised). I think the key is to use a superior quality super-glue.
I kind of like the Locktite versions, although I understand that Kodak
(or is it 3M?) has an industrial type, labeled by number (which I forget)
that is also excellent.
