STEREO  NEW  ENGLAND    presents its   Winter Meeting,  Sunday,  February 15,
1998,  at 3 pm  (doors open at 1:45).   FREE admission  --  everyone
interested in 3-D is welcome!

Location is the Newman Auditorium,  70 Fawcett St. (off Concord Ave.),
 Cambridge,  Mass.,  one block north of Fresh Pond Circle.  Call David at

     Former President Dwight D. Eisenhower was bitten by the Stereo Realist
3-D bug early,  and continued to take 3-D slides during his presidency.
 Larry Wolfe, the driving force behind what is now  STEREO NEW ENGLAND,  was
allowed to make duplicates of some of the over 1000 stereo slides at the
Eisenhower Library in Abilene, KS.  "IKE'S  3-D  GALLERY"   is a collection
of slides showing Eisenhower's political,  military,  sporting,  and family
sides  -  from the only group of photographs in any format that give a
picture of the life of a serving president, as taken by that president!

     With an animated soundtrack by Fritz Weatherbee of New Hampshire Public
Television,  and presented using a vintage TDC Stereo Vivid Deluxe Model 716
projector with 4-inch lenses,  we'll see images from 1948 -1958 including
Ike's first helicopter ride,  his 3-D Presidential Portrait,  views of
meetings with Winston Churchill,  and much more.  

     This was the keynote program at the 1900 NSA convention,  and it hasn't
been seen since then.  Don't miss what may be the last public showing of a
reminder of a different America !

We'll also project a few of  YOUR  3-D  slides!  

The Meeting actually starts with a buy-and-sell "mini-trade-fair" at 1:45 pm
 (NO early admission !!),  and then various activities beginning at 2:45
preceding the program.
