P3D Stereo tintypes

As the person responsible for starting
this thread , my apologies for now coming
back and doubting the logic of one of my
own earlier assertions. The stereo tintype
I saw was on a single piece of metal,
and provided a stereoscopic ( not
pseudoscopic) image. Its just struck me-
how could that be? The image on a tintype
is created by developing the plate ( ie no
printing is involved) so how do they transpose
the image? Surely if you exposed the sensitised
tin plate in a stereocamera , then developed it
you would get a pseudoscopic image?
Any ideas?
