Yes, you misunderstood, but in retrospect I realize I wasn't very clear
so it isn't your fault.  I was making a general comment about the
current usage of film in general, which is about 90% prints these days.
Not to say that that necessarily applies to Realist users, although
certainly there are Realist users making Holmes cards with their cameras
(I'm married to one such).  Of course I *personally* only know a few
Realist users, so I can't speak authoritatively for what the vast
majority are doing with theirs...

The comment was made in the context of the Realist filter sets and the
fact that film emulsions and applications have changed greatly since the
1950's, and that what seem to be the most commonly-available filters
(orange of various types) seem to be the least useful these days (as
tungsten film is the exception rather than the rule).  Again, not to say
that there are no applications for a mild orange (warming) filter, but
the ones most commonly available seem to be a bit extreme for that
purpose.
