P3D Rat's fig

I personally don't give a rat's fig about the infinity homologue spacing
:-) but I don't understand what the problem is... This spacing is set by
the spacing of the chips and not the spacing of the mount openings.  So,
what's the problem?  Even if a person uses and mixes 5P and 7P mounts of
different brands, they can always use the same infinity spacing.  The only
difference will be in the setting of the stereo window with respect to the
screen and I am sure John B does not give a rat's fig about that...
