P3D handheld 3-D movie toy?

I remember these hand-held, battery operated movie viewers from when I
was a kid - they took small rolls of film/film cartridges. Does anyone
know if a 3-D variation on this toy was ever produced? How difficult
would it be to produce something like this?
I think what we need is a 3-D enthusiast who's won the powerball/lotto
to start producing new 3-D products, regardless of consumer demand.
Also, does anyone know where I can purchase anaglyph 3-D films which have
been put on videotape? I know Rhino distributes 3 of these films for about
$10 each - I found them in a Border's book store. The Mask (1960) has some
pretty nifty effects, but Robot Monster had no discernible 3-D that I
noticed. There's another called Catwomen on the Moon that I haven't seen.
You'd think Creature from the Black Lagoon, at least, would be available
on video somewhere.
Oh, and are those LCD 3-D units worth buying? The anaglyph films on video
I've seen have been pretty horrible; I certainly wouldn't want to spend
~$100+ for something which is basically a piece of junk.
I'd be interested in hearing your comments about films w/the LCD glasses
which are on video.
I was looking through a history of 3-D films and it seems like quite a lot
of them were made over the years. I wonder who owns the copyrights on them
and why no one is doing anything with them.
