P3D computer stereo pairs

A propos computer generated stereo pairs...

I'm working to expand the digital section of 3D Showcase, and part of that
is the revamping of some of my (much earlier) digital stereo pairs.  I'm
making them bigger, trying to improve the stereo window, etc.  As the work
progresses I'll post announcements like this one.

Four improved pairs are currently on display at my STAROSTA site stereo page:
(starosta.com/stereo.html  or  .../destereo.html for the German speakers)

They take a bit of time to load, so plan on a coffee break when you visit.

By the way, I suppose these are _Contemporary_ views.  Ha, ha.

I've only had results from four competitions so far, so I'm hardly
experienced in this matter.  But judging from my results, I would say that
the typical exhibition selector considers Contemporary just about any slide
that has artistic merit or intent.  Thus, entries of mine that have come
back with the Contemporary distinction have ranged from computer generated,
to tabletop compositions, to figure studies.

My impression now is that unless it is obviously a travel photo, action
photo, nature photo, or some kind of family snapshot / scenic, it is
probably a candidate for Contemporary judging.  Even within these
categories, many views will be Contemporaries.

>From what I've heard wins the Gold Medal at many competitions, I'm
beginning to wonder if the Silver (Best Contemporary) isn't actually a
higher honor...  (i'd like to think so.  he, he)
