It'd probably be more accurate to call the Realist system
"imperfect". But then, what's perfect? A dual-SLR system
is "imperfect" too. The limitations are *different* between
systems, but all systems have'em. Even a holodeck has
its limitations.
The term "flawed" usually is used for major imperfections,
and this IMO doesn't apply to the Realist system. It has
limitations and imperfections, but not one so large as to
be a "flaw" in the general use of the word.
Some of the imperfections were undoubtedly done on purpose
because such is the nature of design tradeoffs. To further
some desired benefit, one introduces or increases some other
imperfection. If the system were made as technically perfect
as possible, there undoubtedly would have been flaws introduced
(such as a price where nobody would buy it, or having to have ALL
viewers of projected slides sit in the same seat simultaneously).
Superb results can be had with dual-SLR's or with Realist cameras.
I've seen both.
