I can see and understand the point put forward here. Still for me, in using
ONLY 50-ties camera's, despite their obvious and multiple limitations, I
experience a charm about them that I can't explain. I guess It's like
driving a 50-ties chevy (or a beetle or a mini cooper etc.), or prefering to
live in a house with a history just for the fun of it.
Am I the only one for who these elements also come into consideration ?
Patrick.
PS: It all depends on what you're ambitions are I guess. I understand that
for serious professional or artistic purposes the 50 technology is way outdated.
As for myself, "registring" scenes of my (and those who are dear to me) life
and make and experiment with personal impressions of the world around me
(and share them with others) provides me with immense joy.
For those purposes these old camera's are quite satisfactory.
