P3D Type A Kodachrome film

I have imported the following from Jeff Jessee's offerings in Sell 3D:
>(The Type A filters are orange, and could be used for a
>strong sunset effect at midday)
>(The Type F filters are lighter orange than the Type A)

Years ago, in the days of photoflood illumination rather than electronic
flash I always used Kodachrome Type A (ASA 25 as I recall) so that I could
switch from outdoor photography with the Type A correction filter to work
with floodlights (I don't recall the proper Kelvin temperature) without the
filter. Then, when electronic flash was occasionally available to me in
borrowed studios, I continued using Type A Kodachrome with the correction
filter despite the fact that the Kodak instruction sheet said, "Not
Recommended". I got with that combination what I regard as the best flesh
tones I have ever been able to record. Since this kind of evaluation tends
to be subjective, I'm not sure how others regarded my studio slides, but I
liked them very much. Then Kodachrome Type A disappeared from the scene, and
I now use K64 Daylight for nearly everything I photograph. Just a sidelight
from years ago about what we had to use.
