Of course, one way to address viewing concerns in a gallery setting is to
show prints instead of slides. The current showing at the Art-Tech gallery
in San Jose, California uses a variety of systems:
Anaglyphs - custom holders mounted with the large prints hold several pairs
of glasses.
Lenticulars - backlit
Standard Holmes format views mounted on oversized cards - George Freeman,
who I met there, tells me the tabletop viewers used are produced by the
Keystone company (I think there was more to this name - they make eye
testing equipment, used to make lots of views before they got rid of that
part of the business;-)
Enlarged framed views - maybe 20" x 24" (?) with several periscope-like
viewers available.
Since the gallery is relatively small, this probably helps with the security.
By the way, the images are very interesting. Bill Lee's work is gorgeous!
