P3D Agfa Scala Film

When I visited my girlfriend in DC I took my Realist and some Agfa Scala
B&W transparancy film. Just got the film back from the lab (you have to
send it in to one of four(?) labs in the US - took two weeks - bad) and
mounted some up.

Overal impressions? Excellent! There is nothing quite like B&W slides.
years ago Agfa used to do another B&W slide film called Dia Direct - don't
know if y'all had it in the US - it was 32 asa and super creamy rich.
Projecting slides made with it was so cool - they all looked like old
Hollywood stills.

The new film is 200 asa and I exposed it as such and the results were spot
on. I shot some of the old planes hanging from the roof of the Air & Space
Museum and they looked fantastic - it really made those lovely aluminum
shapes stand out. I also took some shots over the wing of the 757 I
travelled in and they too look great.

A great new experience to try.

Les, Dallas.
