I'd be interested in how the adapter performs with close-ups. I'd suspect it's
assymetric design would cause magnification problems between the two images
if you got too close.

You are entirely correct, Mike (er, mike). Any closer than 5-6 feet and
there is magnification deviation between L and R images. This was verified
by the engineer who appeared at recent Demo at the SCSC meeting by Nu-View.
