Cambridge Camera rip-off:

   If you follow the rec.photo.* groups at all you'll see pretty common complaints 

about MOST of the various New York camera discount places.  The only ones 

I'm aware of that get consistant approvals are:

B&H
Adorama
Camera World of Oregon (not NY obviously)

My favorite slanderous comment that I read was somebody who kept referring to "Smile" photo 

as "Slime" photo.  :)

Cambridge really is supposed to be one of the worst though.

Perhaps a file could be kept in the www page somewhere with user comments from
people on this list regarding the various common mail-order companies?  It would
obviously have to be carefully done so it's presented as people's OPINIONS and
personal experiences (gotta watch out for those pesky lawsuits), but it would
probably be useful to those who haven't been burned yet.
