Dennis, when did EMDE made their first mount for the Realist system? The
system that they considered supporting, was it 2 x 4 1/2 in (that would be
51 x 114 mm) or the "Verascope" 45 x 107 mm?
>From the little that I know, between 1910 and 1940, the standard stereo
format in glass (negatives or slides) was 45 x 107 mm. A OSPS club member,
Chuck Weiss, talked about this lot he got of some 1000 stereo glass plates
taken with a Verascope stereo camera (J. Richard, Paris) and we published
an article in Stereogram 2.5.

I have projected "Verascope" slides in the back channel of the 116. My
understanding is that because this projector was introduced early in the
modern stereo era (1951), TDC tried to be "backwards compatible",
supporting both the "Verascope" and "Realist" formats.
Today, stereo photographers can use this back channel to project 2x2 pairs.
In terms of height, there is no problem since the little channels
supporting the slide are flexible. In terms of width, again there is no
problem because of the flexibility in adjusting the spacing of the lenses
in the projector.

What is the exact size of those in mm?
