Sorry John I haven't run across any HDTV monitors but
find this intriging as related to 3-D and imaging in general.
What's kinda funny is that we ALL are looking at something
like HDTV type quality at this precise moment!

What can that be? Well our computer monitors. Of course it's
not exactly the same since HDTV promises MOVING high quality
pictures which computer systems can't do very well. I think
this is mainly due to limited bandwidth and processing power
and some other complicated obstacles from what I read that has
to be overcome. I thought it would be awhile before I would
see one of those HDTV sets, let alone afford one, until now.

Awhile back I saw DVD CD playing on a "good" quality
television set and I wasn't impressed. BUT recently I saw
DVD player for a computer, playing a movie on a regular
15 inch computer monitor. I was REALLY impressed at the
quality and I can't imagine the HDTV sets coming out getting
better than this!

As Jamie Drouin a proponent of the DVD format sez,
>A supporter of the DVD format. Go out and buy/rent yourself
>a DVD player for the ultimate home theatre experience!

Better yet, get yourself a computer DVD player for a few
hundred dollars less than a DVD player for your NTSC monitor
and watch it on your computer monitor! :-)

For those that might be thinking that they would rather view
a movie on a large screen, the image quality is so good and
consequently can be viewed much closer, it more than makes
up for it's smaller size.

It has been mentioned here on P3D that DVD will support
3D video (?). If that is the case it will be very promising
and will hopefully usher a new era in 3-D! :-)
