P3D RE: P3D Computers stopping & NSA Convention

Several P3D posting have mentioned a problem with computers
freezing up or not responding, and having to be shut down and
restarted. I think I have found the solution for PCs with Win 95:
Click on START
Click on SETTINGS
Click on CONTROL PANEL
Click on SYSTEM
Click on PERFORMANCE (Upper right)
Click on GRAPHICS (at bottom center)
Move the HARDWARE ACCELERATION button from FULL
to the left one, two, or all three stops (to NONE) until the
problem is solved.
In my case the problem continued until I moved it all the way
to NONE. Now my computer works like new, and I do not
notice any change in the speed of handling graphics,
including 3-D photos.
I do not know why this problem (of my computer freezing up
and not responding every few minutes, causing me to shut it
down and lose all data not saved) suddenly developed, but for
some reason my 4 mb accelerator card became unable to handle
high acceleration, or something in my computer could no longer
handle high acceleration. A change in the setting solved the
problem, which several "experts" had proposed I solve by
saving all data, reformatting my two hard drives, and
reinstalling all software.
Please contact me ASAP if you want to present a 3-D SHOW,
conduct a WORKSHOP, donate door prizes, or rent a table at
the TRADE FAIR at NSA'98 Richmond Convention, August 6-10.
Go to: http://members.tripod.com/~g_cowardin/nsa/index.htm
and click on the various links. You can download and print out
the REGISTRATION FORM, TRADE FAIR APPLICATION
FORM, WORKSHOP PROPOSAL FORM, and Stereo Theatre
SHOW PROPOSAL FORM, among others, and listen to music
from the BYRD THEATRE, where 3-D movies will be shown.
Please send comments on this website to the address provided,
or, if you have a problem, send E-Mail to: wduggan3d@xxxxxxxx
