My oldest Kodachromes go back 50 years and are still in good shape. However,
not having a standard for comparison, I can't say that they haven't changed
at all, only that they are still acceptable. I suppose one might have a
comparison standard if one had kept part of it in a dark freezer for the
last 50 years. I have even considered using some of my 40 year old stereos
in current exhibitions so that may give you an idea of my assessment of the
stability of the colors in Kodachrome. And George is right in another
matter; if they last through our lifetime, who gives a damn beyond that?
However, that's not the proper outlook for the SD Historian because I hope
the images I have gathered from others will be around longer than I am.
