SINGLE SLR 3-D MACRO
Larry Berlin and John R.:
Thanks for your feedback on my Macro 3-D with one SLR article. It is
interesting to hear from others who use this technique, and nice to see
I'm not alone in guestimating the measurements.
Larry, you're suggestion on the linticular prints was very intriguing.
I'll have to look into that sometime.
John, come to the next club meeting, where we will present this topic
live!
CLUB NEWSLETTERS
Any club who would like to exchange newsletters with my club, the
Potomac Society of Stereo Photographers (in Washington, DC), please
contact me.
FILM DEVELOPING
I mount my film into Realist format mounts myself (RBTs or Albions),
both from standard 2X2 from the SLR and 5p stereo from my Revere. I
never send for stereo mounting from my stereo camera. This is because I
dupe all of my photos that I will be using for competitions and
programs. All originals stay in 2X2 format (Bill Duggan says I can get
2X2 mounts with a 5p opening from Reel 3-D). I send my film through
Price Club, which they send to Kodalux. I get a 36 exp roll developed
for $4.19, 24s are slightly less (haven't put one in yet). For film from
the stereo camera, I put (in very large letters and highlighted) DO NOT
CUT OR MOUNT FILM. I never mention anything about stereo. I have never
had a problem with this and I find the work to be excellent. The slides
are always well mounted and I have not experienced any scratches or
such.
FILM
I also get my film from Price Club. I can get a 5 roll pack of Elite 100
36 exp for $20. I haven't found a cheaper price anywhere else. If you
know of any, tell me! I'm not particularly pushing Price Club, but I am
a photographer on a very tight budget, and know there are others in the
same situation, and will gladly share my bargins with anyone!
