P3D Atomic Bomb 3D

Last evening I caught "Trinity and Beyond - the Atomic Bomb movie" 
narrated by William Shatner (minimally). This has been pushed extensively
in late night tv commercials on satellite, and finally was shown on
(I think) the Discovery Channel. The are now advertising a "director's cut"
version, which includes some 3d footage (and includes glasses). I wonder
if anyone has seen this and if so how it looks (it kind of makes sense
that the g'vmnt would have done 3D pictures of the tests for analysis
purposes, plus the fact most of the atmospheric tests were in the 1950's).
