P3D 70mm lenses to make typical projection viewer seat locations ortho

Greetings,

It occured to me last night that my "new" Viewmaster Personal
camera is doing exactly "that".

The diagonal on a VM image is about 17.7mm if memory serves
correctly. So that's VM's "normal".

The 70mm suggestion (for 8-perf RBT cameras) would be 1.4 times
"normal" of 50mm for that format.

So, 1.4 times "normal" for VM format would be about 25mm. Which
is exactly the F.L. of the lenses in a VM personal camera!

Could this be by accident, or was math involved? Or is my
math off the mark completely? :-)

Mike K.

P.S. - There's a bit of fudge applied, but "close enough".
